Join us this Holy Week as we reflect on Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem, death, and resurrection. For each day in Holy Week, we have written a short prayer for reflection.
Holy Week 2025

Palm Sunday, 13th April
So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, āHosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord ā the King of Israel!ā ā John 12:13
This Palm Sunday, Lord, as we come together as one body, with and without disabilities, strengthen our communities and increase our joy at your presence among us.
Holy Monday, 14th April
To you O Lord I lift up my soul. ā Psalm 25:1
We pray for all people who are experiencing poverty this Holy Week and ask you to continually move us to act in pursuit of equity and fair distribution of wealth and resources. We pray that systems and institutions will put people, each one of us your children, before profits, and we lament the prevalence of selfishness and greed in our world.
Holy Tuesday, 15th April
For Godās foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and Godās weakness is stronger than human strength. ā 1 Corinthians 18:25
Lord Jesus, as we seek to share the stories of our work and the people whom we support, may our storytelling be diverse, inclusive and collaborative, and may the voices of people with disabilities inform and guide us.
Holy Wednesday, 16th April
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. 1 John 4:16
Help us to love like you do, Lord, and to see your face ā the face of love ā in the face of every person we encounter.
Maundy Thursday, 17th April
Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciplesā feet and to wipe them with the towel that was tied around him. ā John 13:5
This Maundy Thursday, we remember how you washed the feet of your friends and exemplified your love for us in the breaking of bread. We pray that we will always welcome all people to our tables and live lives of hospitality and love.
Good Friday, 18th April
When Jesus had received the wine, he said, āIt is finished.ā Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. ā John 19:30
As we hold space for prayer, grief and silence this Good Friday, soften our hardened hearts to receive your love.
Holy Saturday, 19th April
So Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn in the rock. He then rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb and went away ā Matthew 27:59-60
As we ask, āWhere are you?ā, give us faith. Be present with us in our waiting, in our fear and confusion, and comfort all those, known and unknown to us, who ask, āWhere are you, Lord?ā
Easter Sunday, 20th April
He is not here, but has risen! ā Luke 24:6
This Easter Sunday, we rejoice in the knowledge that Christ has conquered death and sin and risen in glory and are filled with wonder at the miracle of the resurrection.
