We are excited to participate in two important disability inclusion events, taking place in Berlin over the next few weeks. Together with our partners, we hope to shape inclusive policies and ensure that disability inclusion remains a global priority.
CBM UK participates in two important disability inclusion events

Berlin is the venue for two significant conferences on disability inclusion at which CBM UK will be represented. From 25-28 March our Director of Advocacy, Mark Barrell will be part of a CBM Global federation delegation at the International Disability and Development Consortium General Assembly in Berlin. The core theme is “United We Stand” and participants will be discussing the current challenges facing funding and budgeting for disability inclusion in international cooperation. This is an important time for likeminded organisations to come together and champion collaborative action, prior to the Global Disability Summit 2025, as we seek to ensure disability inclusion remains a priority in global development policy and practice.
Following on from this Ursula Grant, our Evidence and Advocacy Manager, will join the CBM Global federation delegation at the Global Disability Summit (GDS) and Civil Society Forum, taking place on 1-3 April. The GDS will build upon the momentum of its previous summits in 2018 and 2022, galvanising commitments to advance the rights and inclusion of all people with disabilities through international development and humanitarian action. This significant event will bring together governments, donors, philanthropies, businesses and international agencies to focus on breaking down barriers, shaping inclusive policies and ensuring the full participation of people with disabilities.
CBM Global is pleased to support nine Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to attend the upcoming Summit, recognising their pivotal role in advancing disability rights and inclusion worldwide. Our delegation will actively participate in numerous formal and informal meetings over three-days of events, addressing a diverse range of topics, from inclusive education to climate action.
